Great pictures. I have 2 long haired dachshunds. One is 10 and the other is 11. They are a joy.

Two things I wished I had worked harder on in the beginning:

- brushing their teeth every week (dachshund are the type of breed whose teeth go bad easily). It cost $100 to take out a bad tooth.

- training them right away...they were so cute and I let it go for a bit....but I was sorry when I was still training at 7 months....it's harder then.

Awww, such cute doggies! My neighbors have a precious English Bulldog named Moxie, and I'm her "aunt". She spends time at my house when her parents are out of town and I've never noticed her being especially gassy...so there's hope!
