Christmas Craziness!

The entire month of December seems to have been a whirlwind. It has been non-stop, something every single night craziness. I love getting to spend so much time with family and friends, and making such amazing memories...but I will be glad for the slowness of January to arrive.

We started off our Christmas month with a trip to the Central Christmas Parade. We went with our besties...Carrie, Jordan, Bryan and Maddie. These 4 little guys are best of friends and it was so much fun getting to watch them together. They did great catching the beads and candy, and I was very impressed there was absolutely no fighting! Success!

We have a tradition where we go to Hobby Lobby and pick each family member a new ornament to put on the tree. The kids loved decorating the tree and getting down all the Christmas memorabilia. Weston absolutely adored these dancing Christmas figurines. He was in awe of the music and dance. By the end of the month, the amazement wore off and he was chunking these around as footballs. We survived this Christmas with two of the four still functioning.

Another great tradition we have is going to Bass Pro with our cousins to see Santa. It is always so magical to ride the carosel, play games and see Santa. Oh and also to ride the 4-wheelers and boats...but I'm not sure that is intended to be part of the fun.

Is that smile not the cutest thing you have ever seen!?

Weston tried so hard to be brave with Santa, but he just couldn't make it. Such a priceless photo!!

Bre was all smiles and Weston...well he could have done with just the candy cane.

My gorgeous girl had her very first Christmas program at school. She did absolutely amazing and sang every single song. She has come so far from not even speaking last year to singing out loud in front of a crowd. We couldn't have been more proud.

I have to laugh because Aubrey's favorite Christmas song this year was "Rocking around the Christmas Tree" She sang and requested it constantly!

Bre had her Christmas party at school and I caught these two kissing and it just about melted my heart. I love that they love each other.

We had our annual bake day at Nana's and these two goobers had a blast decorating gingerbread houses with their cousins.

I didn't get any pictures, but we also did our annual Christmas "fancy" dinner with my parents and brother/sis in law. This year we went to Galatoire's Restaurant and had a blast. It was a night filled with laughing and cutting up for sure! Some of us liked the food, and some not so much. But overall the night was so special.

We also celebrated big with our Uncle D and loved getting to do a big pot of gumbo and then go look at lights. That is our tradition with Uncle D and it is one of our favorite nights!

We celebrated with both sides of the family a little early, during the week, because Christian had to work Christmas day. We had a blast with our families. We have the most fun families around and we are so incredibly blessed to have such love all around us!

Best buddies and matching princesses!

Silly faces!

We did pajamas and breakfast for dinner with both sides of the family and it is by far one of our favorite traditions. What could be better than cinnamon rolls for dinner and wearing pj's all night?

Christmas Eve, Bre left Santa some Chex Mix and milk and was overwhelmed with excitement when she realized he ate it and wrote her a note. I don't think I have seen her that excited over anything else!

Christmas morning (actually Christmas Eve morning for us) was full of sweet giggles and lots of precious moments. I savor these innocent moments because I know they will grow so quickly. I adore having special family time with my loves. Oh and we ate cinnamon rolls again! I think we have made a record for most cinnamon rolls eaten in one week's time.

I'd say this is the sign of a successful Christmas morning!

We topped off our Christmas with a candlelight service at church and dinner at my brother's.
Perfect end to a perfect day!

WHEW!!! What a busy, chaotic month but one filled with memories that will last a lifetime. I'm so thankful I have my blog to jot down these moments and be able to look back and reflect on the incredibleness that is our life. We are so blessed.  Blessed with amazing families who love us unconditionally, blessed with two precious children who make life so fun, blessed with lots of love and laughter in our marriage and most of all blessed to have salvation and the gift of eternal life.

Above all else, we praise our Savior who came into this world as a tiny baby. Our Christ who came to give us life and life more abundantly. I am so thankful to God for the good in the world and for all the blessings He has so graciously given to me. I hope and pray everyone's Christmas was fantastic and full of special memories.

Merry Christmas from the Moots' Family!!

Family Pictures 2015

We took family photos last month and even though I thought it was a huge disaster because a certain little guy cried the entire time...they turned out great! That is the work of a true photographer, when you can take crying, screaming children and somehow still get a few good shots!  I don't think we got very many without Weston's finger in his mouth, but that is ok because it is so typical of him right now. Bre Lane stole the show for sure and was absolutely soaking up the spotlight! I simply adore these people and am so blessed to call them mine!
