Gender Reveal #2

We went on a Wednesday evening to a place called Angel Prints. It's a small place where you can find out whether or not you are having a boy or a girl and also do things like 3D-4D imaging. It's a cool little place. We did the same thing with Aubrey because finding out at 17 weeks is so much more fun than waiting til 21 weeks at the doctor!

With Aubrey, we invited our parents but decided this time to do just the three of us. We wanted it to be more intimate and quite honestly I wasn't sure how I was going to react when I found out. I didn't want any added pressure so we kept it to just us.

We went in and the lady pulled the screen up and she instantly said, "I see what it is". I asked her to let us see it for ourselves and she agreed. She did say, "come on buddy, work with me here" and so I kinda assumed at that point that it was a boy.  We asked Aubrey if she thought it was a brother or a sissy and she immediately said "brother". She was exactly right!!!

I have to admit I was a little disappointed at first. Only because I don't know boys (we have mostly all girls in our family) and I really wanted Bre to have a sister. I will admit I cried a little when we got in the car just because I really thought we were having a girl.

It took me a few days to adjust and process the fact that I was having a boy. I talked to lots of friends who have boys and they convinced me that boys are amazing and total mama's boys!

I am now soooo excited about our little man. I don't want him to think for a moment that he wasn't wanted...I'm just being real.  I also think I will look back on that gender reveal day and think to myself..."God knew exactly what I needed, even when I thought otherwise".

I couldn't be more excited about him and the fact that we will have one of each (although I don't think we are done!) I think this little boy will be wrapped around my finger and probably steal my heart as much as his sister has! We are just overjoyed that he will be here soon!

By the time we had the gender party on Saturday, I was beyond excited. We had a simple get together with family and shared our news by silly string and cake!

It was a great day and I know baby boy Moots will be the perfect addition to our family! Can't wait to meet our little guy!
