Beach Trip 2012

We had the opportunity to take a break from Hurricane Isaac and escape to the beach for a good ole' family reunion!  It was so wonderful to get to spend time with our family...not to mention the weather was near perfection. We ate like kings, did as we pleased, and stayed up late talking about funny family memories.   

Aubrey Lane was apprehensive at first about the beach and the sand, but it didn't take her long before she was shoveling in hand fulls of sand into her mouth.  Party time! 

I kid you not-homegirl ate about a bucket of sand. The evidence was in the diaper the following day! Aubrey also found shells, sticks, and leaves at the beach. I could not keep her from inhaling the remnants of the beach.   I mean...isn't that what the beach is all about?

We basically went back and forth between the beach and the pool and the lazy river all day.  It was paradise!

We visited the Wharf one night for dinner and as usual...I forgot to pack something. This particular night, I forgot a bib so we improvised. Haha! It looks as though Bre is at the barber shop about to get a trim! She was not amused by her wardrobe.

Aubrey was in heaven with these three. Talk about a ton of personality in small packages! 

Last day...poor thing was exhausted. She literally slept almost the whole entire way home...and then took a nap to recover from the ride home!

I'm so thankful for precious memories with loved ones! A special thanks to my parents for treating us to a wonderful trip! We are so blessed!
