Nursery Time

Aubrey's nursery has been such a labor of love...it has been the biggest blessing to watch her room come together, piece by piece, and become a little oasis created just for her! So many things in her room were hand made, with love, from her loved ones. I can't even begin to tell you how much it means to me to have special creations made just for her by her family members. These pieces will hopefully be things she can grow with and cherish for years to come.

Her room is finally finished and all we need to complete it is HER!!

This is above her changing table. My sis in law, Cherith helped me with the idea of using shelves to add dimension and depth. The little circle is from Hobby Lobby, and I just glued the letter A onto it!

Here is another view of her changing table. The beautiful curtains were made by Aubrey's Nana and they couldn't be more perfect. Such elegance and class!

Her sweet Nana made all her bedding as well, from the bumper pads to the bed skirt...all handmade with love.

Isn't t just beautiful!

I found a precious framed owl picture on Etsy that sold for like $75.00 and I just couldn't justify spending that much money...so I created this picture on Photoshop myself, and brought it to Hobby Lobby for framing. Total spent was only like $30.00...plus it is more special since it came from mommy!

This is one of my favorite things in her room...it's a custom made owl pillow made by my sis in law, Cherith. It is just the cutest thing ever. On the back it has a special message embroidered from Aubrey's cousins, Adlee and Myla...telling her they love her and can't wait to meet her.

Aubrey's Meme (my mom) purchased this glider just for her room...perfect for late night feedings.

Cherith also made this memory board for one of the walls...it's perfect because I wanted to be able to display family photos that are special to Aubrey.

A special room...for a special little girl.

The waiting game...

We have begun the countdown into the final weeks til Baby Moots makes her grand appearance! The days are getting longer and the weeks feel like years...I have never been a patient person so this is not easy for me!

We went to the doctor on Friday and did an ultrasound...baby girl measured around 4.5 pounds (give or take 1/2 a pound) which is pretty much on target! She is still tiny and will probably not be over 6 or 6.5 pounds at birth...but you never know...she could be an 8 pounder! Bless her sweet little heart, she is sooo squished in there...poor thing is quickly running out of room!

I almost started crying when talking to the doctor about going a few more weeks, it's just overwhelming at this point to think of continuing on being this uncomfortable, but I know in the long run it is what is best for Aubrey.

I'm finishing up her room and hope to get nursery pictures up later this week... my sister in law came over on Sunday to help me get her room finished and boy did she help me out! It is so nice to have such creative family members not to mention extra special because most of her nursery was hand made by either her Nana, myself or her aunts!

Praying these next few weeks fly by and that baby girl makes her appearance when she is ready! Thank you Lord for your goodness and faithfulness!

Tiger Time!

Before getting married, I will admit...I hated football. Couldn't stand watching the game in person or on television, just wasn't my cup of tea. However, being married to a complete Tiger Nut, has made me sing a different tune.

Now I totally look forward to football season. Just the atmosphere of football puts everyone in a great mood and gets me fired up!

Now don't get me wrong...I still don't do a lot of actually watching the game...but the whole getting together with friends and family...eating a ton of wonderful food...and just having lots of fun is totally something I look forward to each Saturday.

In fact last Saturday, a bunch of our friends got together to watch the game, and I found myself wanting the girls to be quiet and quit talking so much cause I wanted to watch the game! I may have to start watching in the room with the guys! Ha!

Our family pose before the big opening game!

Our soon to be tiger fan!

Oops...here is the whole Moots family...sorry Lex.

Okay...I swear I'll stop torturing Lex...it's just so cute. But I promise...this was the last time!
